How To Reduce Back Pain While Sitting In A Office Chair

Sitting in office chairs for a long period of time can be a major cause of back pain. Sitting is a static posture that can cause increased stress in the back, neck, arms and legs, and can add a tremendous amount of pressure to the back muscles and spinal discs.

There are a several known ways through which you can add a back support in your office chair . Now what you need is the best office chair for lower back pain , with all kinds of adjustments available . If you are already posessing that kind of a chair you aren’t good to go yet , it has to be adjusted specifically as per your body measurements . Not everyone is built the same and has different body requirements . Your setting will be based on your height (overall) , back measurement , spine measurement , arms & back measurement too .

Besides being uncomfortable, over time, poor sitting posture and workplace ergonomics can damage spinal structures and contribute to recurrent episodes of back pain.

Here are some important guidelines to help make sure that your office chair and work area is as comfortable as possible and causes the least amount of stress to your spine:

Pick the chair perfect for you

Pick the chair that allows you to lean on a bumpy variable adjustment surface which is quite soft and comfy for you leaning off it carefree .

Rolling your shoulder

We must roll our shoulders and stretch them a bit a regular intervals , while long sitting hours the body generates lactic acid which can cause irregular ache’s in your body .

Proper Posture To Sit

There is a specific posture (proper ) to sit on any type of chair , if you aren’t sitting that way , knowingly or unknowingly you are harming yourself . For e.g sitting cross-legged isn’t what is recommended by the doctors . This may cause over stretching of muscles , around the pelvis and a horrific pain too .

 Walking around

It is recommended to take small brisk walks after short intervals so that sitting on the chair for longer hours does not cause tiring and keeps you going for a longer period or interval of time .
